Bruce L. Boros, MD FACC

  • Born in Miami, FL.
  • Attended University of Miami Medical School (1972-1976).
  • Internship at Medical University of South Carolina (1977).
  • Residency in Internal Medical at University of Miami Jackson Memorial / VAH (1977-1979).
  • Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease - University of Texas San Antonio (1979-1981).
  • Partnered with Richard A Berger, MD in 1982.
  • Resurrected the American Heart Association of the Keys and founded the Lower Keys Heart Council.
  • Initiated the Little Hearts of the Keys Organization to help support low income families whose children needed cardiac evaluation and treatment in Miami.
  • Created and organized Integrated Medical Services (1996) in Key West - comprised of 11 medical specialists and full diagnostics, built to bring affordable and high-quality healthcare to the Florida Keys.
  • Built Cardiovascular Center of Excellence in 2003, and managed a team of three board certified cardiologists. 
  • Founded Advanced Urgent Care of the Florida Keys in Key Largo, Marathon and Key West, while still practicing Cardiology.
  • Attended Tulane University Undergraduate, Tulane University Medical School  (1961-1965).
  • Internship at Charity Hospital New Orleans, LA (1965-1966).
  • Residency at Internal Medicine University of Miami (1966-1968).
  • Fellowship in Cardiology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center -  Miami Beach, FL  (1968-1970).
  • Partnered with Bruce Boros, MD in 1982.
  • Facilitated the growth of contemporary Cardiovascular medicine in the Florida Keys with Dr. Boros, which  included arranging the transportation of patients to tertiary centers via air ambulance. 
  • Past president of Heart Association of Greater Miami.
  • Past Chairman of multiple committees and Officer for American College of Cardiology Florida Chapter.  Received multiple awards from Florida Chapter American College of Cardiology for Cardiology Services.
  • Has been practicing Clinical Cardiology for 50 years.
  • Certifications: American Board of Internal Medicine (1970), Cardiovascular Disease (1972), Fellow American College of Cardiology (1972).
